Abstract(in English) We have developed a video cataloging and browsing technology which features hierarchical scene structure analysis. It is a time consuming task to find a scene from a long sequence of video. To make this task easy, our system analyzes the video and summarises it. The summary, which is in the form of either a thumbnail catalog or a preview video, is stored in the WWW server and a user browses it using the Internet browser. In this paper, we describe our video cataloging and browsing system and its evaluation.
