Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important to provide an efficient search method for enormous video content as video-on-demand enabled digital TV becomes wide spread in the future. Especially, in video of sport events, a retrieval system should understand player's actions from the extracted information such as player position, relative relation among players, and ball position. This paper player a visual event extraction system for retrieving video content of soccer games. Our system extracts a visual event by detecting features related to the event in the domain space where an event detection algorithm can successfully finish. Finally, we show our experimental results of extraction from real image sequences of soccer games to provide the effectiveness of our approach.
