Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Caused by the rapid popularization of the internet, there has been a great demand for the high-bandwidth net-work responded to the multimedia. The satellite network has the characteristics of high-bandwidth, multiple-sites transmission, and disaster-resistance. So it has been expected tb play an important role in the internet. However, the satellite network is limited it's communication performance with TCP due to it's large round trip time. This becomes evident when retransmission occurs. In this paper, we report the evaluation of SACK options and FACK congestion control algorithm with VSAT satellite communication systems.
