Abstract(in English) | This paper focuses on the bandwidth allocation mechanism that encourages users to use rate control in best effort service. In the best effort service network, it is wished that user use the rate control to share the bandwidth fairly and to prevent from congestion collapse. In this paper, we propose the new fair bandwidth estimation function based on Edge-Core network architecture. This function can estimate the fair bandwidth fast and penalize the unresponsive flow. We describe the mechanism of the function and evaluate the proposed mechanism by computer simulation. We show the proposed mechanism improve the convergence speed and can penalize the unresponsive flow. This penalization mechanism encourages user to use rate control. |
