Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile computing environment has rapidly improved with the development of high-speed wireless networks, portable devices, and wide-band backbone networks. Supposing that many kinds of resources will become available on future wide-area wired/wireless networks, utilizing resources on wide-area networks improves the utility of mobile computing environment. In this paper, we propose a new resource navigation method suitable for the diverse environment of the wide-area networks. Next, we design and construct a prototype system that embodies the proposed method. Finally, we evaluate the accuracy of navigation by simulation in a virtual use situation.
