| 抄録(和) | Virtual Reality Modeking Launguage (VRML)により記述された3次元仮想空間は、World Wide Web (WWW)の機能を利用して、インターネット上に提供することができ、ネットワーク上の多くのユーザが同じ仮想空間を容易に体験することができる。このような3次元仮想空間を複数のユーザで共有する場合には、互いの存在を認識し合うために、ユーザ間でさまざまな種類のデータをやり取りする必要がある。ユーザ間でのインクラクションを滑らかに行うためには、リアルタイムにデータをやり取りしなければならない。また、個々のユーザの空間データに不整合が生じないようにするためにはデータ配送に信頼性が必要となってくるが、3次元仮想空間の共有をインターネット上で行う場合、データ配送のリアルタイム性と信頼性を同時に実現するのは困難である。本研究では、信頼性を考慮したサーバ・クライアント方式とリアルタイム性を考慮したマルチキャスト方式の2つのデータ配送方式を利用し、データの種類、ユーザの位置、サーバの負荷等に応じて配送方式を動的に選択し、ユーザ間の滑らかなインタラクションと3次元仮想空間の整合性を実現する手法を提案する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Users on computer networks can share virtual spaces easily by exchanging their descriptions of Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). Besides, users have to exchange the additional information such as their motion. To achieve the Smooth interaction among users, the information most be delivered in real-time. MoreoVer, to keep the consistency of the Virtual spaces of users, the information delivery must be reliable. However, in cace of a shared virtual space on the Internet, it is difficult to achieve the real-time and reliable delivery. In this paper, we propose a new delivery mechanism for a shared virtual space, which use the peer-to-peer communication for the reliability and the multicast communication for the realtimeness. To achieve the smooth interaction and the consistency of the virtual spaces, this mechanism chooses the communication method dynamically according to the data type, the user's position, and the system resource availabillty. |
