Abstract(in English) | A transmission of video on non-QoS network such as the Internet requires a particular technique referred to as "media synchronization". The authors have proposed a media synchronization method for stored MPEG video. Since the method requires a measurement of the actual transmission rate on the network and does not consider load variations of servers, the stability of buffer as well as the temporal smoothness of video have been lost with the method. In order to alleviate these problems, this paper proposes an improved technique for the MPEG media synchronization, and confirms its validity in a real environment. |
