Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Architecture described in this paper, aims to realize an practical electric community in which many and unspecific persons live free from care. At first, two techniques, the distributed virtual environment and the electric community, are surveyed and their problems are summarized. Next, as important technical subjects for the elctric community, security, instantaneousness, consistency, and communication are discussed. One solution to these problems is the AGORA architecture that has developed as one prototype of the community system. At last, the reality of the electric community is discussed. A CG modeling tool, Sketch Vision, introduced in this paper, can improve the reality of 3-dimensional space by using photoimages, and some virtual cities are shown as results of modeling.
