Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the development of a "Multi-user 3-D Virtual Space System" based on VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language), and provides an analysis of some problems on the development process. With the spread of WWW (World Wide Web) in recent year, VRML was proposed to describe a 3-D virtual space. Yet, VRML specification does not provide means for the development of a multi-user environment. In this research, we realize a virtual space shared system by combination of WWW, Java Language, and VRML bowser. This system was constructed aiming the use of easily existing VRML files for shared world and avatar.
