Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Lossless filter banks that map integer input to integers and reconstruct exactly are important for unified lossless and lossy image coding systems. In the last paper, we indicated design method of lossless filter banks based on decomposition of filter banks into 2-point transforms or interpolative predictions. But there was a problem that it was difficult to design lossless filter banks with long taps, since the order of the equations became high. In this paper, therefore, we indicate the decomposition method of PR filter banks with arbitrary filter length into 2-point transforms or interpolative predictions, and design lossless filter banks with arbitrary filter length. Several lossless filter banks are design and their lossless and lossy compression efficiency is evaluated.
