Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The explosive growth of the Internet attracted great of attention to the implementations of the tranport of real-time multimedia atreams over non-guaranteed quality of service networks. In this paper, we aim at regulating excessive transmission delay and control a sending rate according to network conditions to realize high utilization of available bandwidth. We propose a rate control method to keep a constant backlog enqueued in networks, which estimated by round-trip delay. By using this method, it is expected to regulate increasig transmission delay even under low bit-rate connection. We show results of simulations and experiments under actual Internet enbironment to verify efficiency of our proposed method.
