| Abstract(in English) | In an interactive TV (ITV) system, when a user specifies his desired object in a video program, related information can be provided to him. This paper describes experimental results and the improved method on the pointing method utilizing the remote-control device (RCD) with a pointing function. The experimental results show that the RCD is better than the mouse in specifying the moving object in video programs. However, in the RCD, the cursor cannot be fixed because of the hand movement of a user. Then, the improved RCD is proposed to correct the hand movement. |
