Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Among the applied fields of Virtual Reality and 3D graphics technology, communication area is very important. For better communication, at least, environment must be shared under optimum conditions. In this study, we describe research on virtual reality, to create suitable environments for better communications. We focus on virtual reality space on large screens, and introduce a multi-stereoscopic display system for multi-viewers and "Mirrored CAVE". We also introduce the concept of "Transclock-communication" or "Transclock-presence" which emphasizes creation of communication environments retrospectively or prospectively rather than "Tele-communication" or "Tele-presence".
