| 抄録(和) | 仮想現実のリアリティを向上させるための手段として,仮想空間と実空間を融合させることが有望視されているが,融合領域の抽出法や融合の不自然さの解消など解決すべき課題が多い.そこで本稿では,対象の3次元形状と表面テクスチャーの動的変化を観測した映像の構造分析を基に,対象の3次元CGモデルと実写ライブ映像の融合境界を抽出し,実空間を仮想空間にリアルタイムで融合する「拡張仮想感」の方法を提案する.さらに,自然で滑らかな融合を実現し,かつ,対象表面の色調変化に適応するために,CGモデルの色調を実写領域の色調に自動調整する方法を示す.本手法を実時間顔表情生成に応用し,微妙でディティールに富む感情や表情と顔色の変化を「ライブ」で交信可能な臨場感通信の実現に有効であることを示す. |
| 抄録(英) | Recently the techniques of mixed reality have been studied for enhancing and augmenting the reality of virtual spaces by merging real world images. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to mixed reality, in which a portion of live video images observing the deformation and motion of the object are projected onto the surface of its static CG model of the objects to realize live states of the object in the virtual space. First, we define and extract regions from video images which are suitable for merging with the virtual space, based on the optical flow analysis of both range and color images in which both shape and texture changes are observed. We then adapt properties of color texture of the CG models to that of the merging region, according to the changes in the color values of the corresponding regions. We apply this technique to real time animation of realistic facial expression. |
