Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigated interframe interpolation using IFS as an application to fractal image coding. Barnsley proved the theorem in the IFS theory : when continuously parameterized family of IFSs are strictly contractive, the attractor vary continuously with the parameter indexing the family. In other words, if new IFSs are constructed by continuously interpolating between two IFSs, the attractor corresponding to the new IFSs are interpolation images. We thought the thorem can be applied on fractal image coding for moving pictures. We propose a interpolation method by using IFS.
