Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The trace transform proposed, a generalisation of the Radon transform, consists of tracing an image with straight lines along which certain functionals of the image function are calculated. Different functionals that can be used may be invariant to different transformations of the image. The paper presents the properties a functional must have in order to be invariant under Euclidean or affine transformations of the image. From the deformations a set of images is assumed to be subject to, we can choose then the right functionals which allow the calculation of invariant features of the objects to be recognised. With the help of these features we can identify objects depicted in an image database. The theory is demonstrated with the help of a database of fish silhouettes and for the case of rotation, translation and scaling transformation.
