Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Visual cognition fo humans is not a purely visual processing. How humans recognize visual stimulus depends on the pose and movement of the body in the environment. Recently, studies of cognitive psychology have arisen that investigated the interaction between perceptual and proprioceptive systems in the virtual environment by using of the head-mount display. The head-mount display enables the subjects to observe visual stimuli regardless of head direction, thus creating the virtual environment of wide angle. This research reports the utility of the head-mount display on the study of the visual-proprioceptive interaction.
