Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are few studies investigating interactions between monocular depth cues while each monocular cues is well studied. In the current study, we looked into the relation between two monocular cues ; shading and flicker information, and attempted to see how we perceived depth when two cues were compatible or incompatible. The result showed that the subjects generally perceived depth in accordance with the shading information. However, they reported it deeper when the shading and flicker cues were compatible. From these results, we suppose that there is facilitation effect between two depth cues.
