Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In two experiments, we investigated the interference between shape and size of two successively presented visual patterns. In the first experiment, subjects judged same or different of shape or size of a pair of two stimuli. RT for a pair having the same shape was delayed with the discrepancy of size between two stimuli. But, RT of size judgment was not delayed by the change of shape. In the second experiment using relatively simple stimuli, however, RT of size judgment was delayed by the change of shape. These results show that a representation of stimulus includes both information of shape and size.
