Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In visual domains, a known context effect is that the perception formed by the previous context is likely maitained into the following perception. However this effect has not been fully investigated in the field of auditory domain yet. Therefore, we experimentally examined this effect on auditory perception using perceptual grouping of toneburst sequences, i.e.rhythm perception. The results showed that the perceptual grouping formed by the previous toneburst sequence was clearly maintained into the following toneburst sequence. This suggests that the context effect also occurs in auditory perception.
