Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports a new desktop type of Face to Face Free View Autostereoscopic Window display(FtFFVAW), which has been proposed using an autostereoscopic display, contorolled by an eye tracking system hanging from a chair-linked arm. The display consists of a wide field of view 20" high-resolution LCD panel being attached a lenticular plate, and a camera for face tracking. The display panel is maintained face to face with the viewer at a constant viewing distance on his/her sight line to allow him/her to view stereoscopic images in unconstrained and also best viewing conditions. Two other cameras on the display capture images of the left and right eyes of the viewer, and the positions of the pupils in each image are used to measure eye vergence movement.
