Fundamental Characteristics of Kansei for Music through the SD Method

Abstract(in English) This paper aims to demonstrate the fundamental characteristics of kansei for music.To evaluate the degree of impression received from music, kansei-words were collected form music magazine and so on.41 pair of kansei-words used in this experiment were selected form those kansei-words.32 subjects listened to 5 instrumental music, and evaluate the degree of impression by the semantic differential method.Results showed that the degree of impression was different with gender and the pair of kansei-words.Moreover, standard deviations of kansei values were classified in 5 types.Factor analysis reveals that psychological space of inpressions was composed by 10 factors;amenity, blissout, noisy and so on.
