Geometrical analysis on Puppet theater effect and Cardboard effect in stereoscopic images

Abstract(in English) Research on shooting conditions of 3D program production for natural 3D images has been continued.This paper describes an analysis on the geometrical relationship between shooting space and reproduced stereoscopic images from a point of view of binocular disparity.Especially, the differences between the images shot by the parallel camera configuration and those shot by the toed-in camera configuration is argued, taking the effects caused by horizontal shift of Left and Right images into consideration.Moreover, we derive some equations which define the distortions peculiar to sterescopic images such as Pupper Theater Effect or Cardboard Effect.The equations describe subjective data about the distortions well.
