Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is necessary to simulate the dynamic changes of binaural signal by head motion in order to realize high-definition Auditory Display System. In this signal processing, a simulated sound image moves relatively to head movement. However, the relation between a moving velocity of the sound image and a sound image localization has not yet made clear. Therefore, we experimentally examined this relationship, using delayed sound image against head movement. To evaluate the detection threshold and difference limen of delay of the sound image movement, we conducted psychoacoustic experiments with the pair comparison method. The result of the experiments showed that the detectio threshold was around 80 - 90ms. By a comparison between the threshold and calculation value by MAMA (Minimum Audible Moving Angle), suppression of auditory perception during the head movement was suggested. Moreover, we analyzed the head movement pattern and distribution of angular velocity during the experiment. As a result, it is shown that the duration with little head movement becomes longer as the delay becomes longer.
