Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A method to reconstruct the shape of a 3D non-rigid object using sequence of images are proposed.Face, as a good example of a non-rigid object, is focused in this paper.Image sequences of a dynamically deforming face are captured from stereo cameras. Its shape is represented as a plane that lies among the two eyes and the nose, and vertical shifts(or depths)from the plane.Corresponding points are searched on the images according to their depth. Then adding temporal and spatial smoothness constraints, depths are refined and updated iteratively.Experimental results show that rough estimation of the shape has been reconstructed, although small structure information need to be improved.
