Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Human brain responses to isoluminant red-green greatings were measured as a function of their temporal frequencies, by using fMRI at 1.5T. We focused on the responses in the visual areas of V1, V2 and V8, identified with the phase encoding method of retinotopy. In areas V1 and V2, temporal modulation sensitivity curves were bandpass in shape, and decreased in the region above 10-15Hz. In area V8, the tempral sensitivity decreased more rapidly at lower frequencies than those in areas V1 and V2. The characteristics of the temporal color processing in V8 corelates with than of the human color perception.
