Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Influence of the antecedently presented unpleasant information on the evaluations of emotion and the evaluations of feeling of moving for subsequent pleasant information in story reading was investigated by the rating method. The story estimated to enhance feeling of moving was divided into two parts of paragraphs, included unpleasant antecedent (UP) and pleasant subsequent (P). Then the two hedonically neutral parts of paragraphs, neutral antecedent (N1) and neutral subsequent (N2), were made from unpleasant antecedent and pleasant subsequent. In experiments 1 and 2, four kinds of material : UP-P, N1-P, UP-N2, N1-N2, were presented undergraduates to read, followed rating on emotional values and feeling of moving. The result indicated that the evaluations of feeling of moving were varied by the information in the antecedent and/or subsequent and were higher than the evaluations of pleasantness. These results suggest that the evaluation of moving is affected by the structure of story and is different from the evaluations of pleasantness.
