Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have quantitatively examined the relationship between utterances and head movements in two-person conversation. This paper describes that there is a correlation between the beginning / end of utterance units and head movements, but that there is no significant difference in the correlation value between when the utterance unit is of keeping the speaking turn, and when it is of taking the turn. We have also analyzed the amount of head movements while the partner is speaking, and found that the head movements tend to occur prior to both the beginning and at the end of utterance units of the partner.
