Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been known that cerebrovascular diseases such as intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations(AVMs), or vascular setnoses produce weak sounds which originate from the turbulent blood flow at the affected parts. A number of studies were done for detecting the diseases by analyzing these weak sounds, and steep peaks(spikes) were detected in the spectra of the weak sounds that were generated by artery aneurysms. However, the generation mechanism of the spikes is not clear. In this paper, the vibration of an elastic spherical shell is analyzed as a model of an aneurysm, and the relationship between the resonance frequencies of the shell and the spikes is discussed.
