Abstract(in English) It is known that subjective characters in visual perception are so subtle and sometime even seemed mysterious that their quantitive descritions are very difficult. Recent researches have found that some phenomena in geometric and color percetions can be mathematically modeled and quantitively analyzed in a natural way by certain Riemannian geometric invariants of subjective visual or color spaces in terms of the spatial distortion. On the other hand, afterimage phenomena in color perception can also be regared as a kind of optical illusions involving chronical dynamics, thus even more difficult in mathematical modeling than static phenomena. In this paper, we propose a computational model for afterimage phenomina which quantitatively characterize them by the color space bundle model we obtained for color appearance in polychromatic perception, here with chronical evolution described by a sequence of Riemannian geometric invariants. As an application, we show the effect of an afterimage phenomenan can actually be cancelled based on analysis using the proposed model, which also provide an evidential support to our modelling.
