Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the communication between remote locations, it is often required to employ synthesized facial images instead of real facial images in order to preserve the anonymity of users or to reduce the data of facial images. Since features and motions of human faces are different among individuals, facial images should be synthesized according to their each user's intention rather than their photographic similarity to the user's real face. In this article, we propose a case-based facial expression model that determines the correspondence, which is intended by the user, between each real facial image and the synthesized image.
