Generating Facial Expression based on Genetic Algorithm

Abstract(in English) In this work, our goal, is to generate facial expressions according to subjective impression from neutral real images using an interactive interface based on a genetic algorithm. This method for generating facial images with arbitrary expressions can be applied to a lot of applications such as low band width video conferencing. We regard that a face is composed of five parts, i.e. eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, and contours. Using a method which is proposed in this paper, an image with expression is synthesized by iterating a rating-generate process for each of the five part. As a result, we experimentally proved that this method is efficient for making expression faces.
