Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes acoustic characteristics of the vocal tract with the pyriform fossa and the sapraglottis analyzed by the finite element method(FEM).By 3D FEM model obtained by magnetic resonance image from the vocal folds to the velum when a subject uttered vowels/i/and/u/, sound pressure distributions on some cross sections are shown at the first resonant frequency, 500Hz, and 2500Hz when the vocal folds are closed.Propagation paths in the vocal tract can be obtained by barycentric coorginates of particle velocity and of real part of sound intensity in the direction of sound propagation on the same cross section. The propagation paths by them are compared.
