Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We present a model which accounts for both the Non-uniformity of visual acuity and the relationship between attentional spread and spatial resolution. Also, to verify the model, we made a psychophysical experiment in which two tasks took place simultaneously to investigate the effect of attentional spread on Modulation Transfer Function(MTF).The primary task required subjects to detect dots near two border stimuli, and the secondary task required the subjects to detect a Gabor patch between them. The MTF of narrow-condition was found to be shifted towards higher resolutional area from the MTF of broad-condition.This result gave a qualitative proof of our model.
