Human Body Model Allowing for Dynamic Posture Changes : Human Body Modeling for Apparel Design

Abstract(in English) For apparel design system, it is necessary for human body models to describe the posture changes based on the skelton and the representation of the body shape based on elastic theory. Presented anticulated figure has the muscles as active organs and the skelton as passive organs. The movable range of joints is cleared by the control of skeltal posture that decided by muscle contraction. Collision detection among parts constructing the human body model that use octree is described. Human body consists of the collection of materials that show different physical propaties such as density and Young modulus. To represent the changes of the body shape with the skeltal posture changes, we present the elastic model that regard the human body as composite material.
