Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider some factors affecting the level of difficulty in a learning-assistance game "DoNow," which is designed to focus the learner's attention on the role of radicals in kanji characters. In particular, we differentiate "characteristics of radicals" from "characteristics of arrangements of radicals," and stress that both aspects are important in controlling the level of difficulty in "DoNow". Some other factors for adjusting the level of difficulty in the game are also discussed.
