Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an algorithm for stable eye movement detection which enables us to measure the eye direction with precision without putting on any equipments nor fixing one's head. In this paper, first we discuss the method on which the eye direction can accurately be estimated from the relative position of corneal reflection on the iris region. Then we also proposes the method to detect corneal reflection and iris region from an image inputted from TV camera. The experimental results show the proposed method is effective: the eye direction can be measured within an error of plus or minus 0.5 degrees, even when one's head is moved in 30mm.
