Abstract(in English) According to development of facsimile machines and increase of the user, there have been a lot of inquiries on functions, operation and manuals. Many kinds of facsimile machines have come into wide use. The registration of various functions is important for the user. The registration functions are provided by the menu. It is important to clarify the usable menu for registration functions. The usability of the menu depends on the menu structure and names of menu items. First, we investigated names of menu items. This paper describes analyses and evaluations of facsimile's menu classification and terminology limited lines and numbers of character on the display.
