Abstract(in English) | Recently there has been some changes in the psychological research on facial recognition. One of them is the introduction of a new methodology of manipulating facial images by computer. This progress makes it possible to construct various intermediate images of facial expressions and the research has started to examine the recognition processes of facial expressions using these images. Another change is a theoretical one. New lines of research which emphasize the importance of the communicative functions of facial expression have started and the relating research topics were discussed. |
