| 抄録(和) | ある人物の顔を見て性別を判定する際には,顔のもつ様々な情報の中で,どの情報が有効に利用されているのであろうか.男女各16名のモデルを使った本研究の実験では,顔の持つ色情報が,性別を判断される際に男女を問わず必要であることが分かった.また,性別を判断する際の視点依存性について,男性の場合は左90°の横顔,女性の顔は右90°の横顔が性別を誤って判断されやすく,その判断に対する被験者の確信度も低いことが明らかとなった.つまり,性別判断の視点依存性には男女の顔で非対称性があることが示唆された. |
| 抄録(英) | In judging the gender of a face, humans use color imformation of the face more than shape imformation of the face. We have additionally found that there are differences in accurate gender judgments between male faces and female faces, under different degrees of rotation in depth. Subjects made many mistakes in judging the gender of male faces in the left profile. With female faces, in contrast, they made many mistakes in the right profile. We therefore think that viewpoint-dependence for gender judgments varies with respect to gender of the face and the rotation of the face. |
