Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A medical interview sheet has important functions : obtaining necessary information about a patient in every medical treatment situation ; informing medical staffs of patient's desires in the treatment. In the previous study we have reported the structure for the sheet in a dental clinic situation. The present report focuses on deaf patients and addresses three issues : 1) Are Japanese explanations used in the interview sheet easy to understand for deaf people? 2) Are Japanese expressions acceptable to hearing people? 3) Is the content of the sheet appropriate from medical point of view?. Certain investigations show different opinions of these issues among the deaf, hearing and medical staffs.
