Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A medical interview sheet has an important role in obtaining information about a patient in every medical treatment situation. The sheet is usually written in Japanese. In the previous study we reported the structure for the sheet in a dental clinic situation. The present report focuses on deaf patients and addressed two issues : 1)Japanese explanations, used in the interview sheet, that are easy to understand for deaf people. 2)Signed language explanations for the sheet that enhance the understanding of the meaning. We can say, from these investigations, that criteria for the written Japanese are slightly different between hearing and deaf people. Further, the modality of signing affects the style of explanations in both a signed language and written Japanese.
