Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we describe algorithms for creating physically based animation of deformable bodies. To save computational cost, deformations are limited to collision time and elastic deformations are ignored. We augment existing techniques for calculating collision response of rigid bodies to simulate a bouncing behavior of deformable bodies. Kinetic energy of deformable bodies before collision is distributed to kinetic energy after collision and potential energy for plastic deformations. We use some parameters which regulate the distribution of kinetic energy to control collision response with plastic deformations. |
