Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Face recognition is known to be processed predominantly in right hemisphere. Left visual field bias for face recognition is regarded as one of these evidences. In the present study, no left visual field bias was found with button press and with P3 amplitude measures, however, the amplitude of N170(a face responsive ERP at posterior temporal area)was significantly larger in right hemisphere. Left visual field bias and lateral differences in face responsive ERP might have different background mechanisms. No such trend was found in P170 at central area. |
