Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A stereo vision technique, in which edge detection is used for finding features, is popular when applying robot vision to object recognition. This paper proposes a method for detecting edges efficiently by defining the area of detection and tuning the parameter of a detecting operator, which are realized by a comparison of two images of an object taken almost at the same time, one is with a laser slit pattern illumination and the other is without it.
