Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When viewing an object in a glass water tank from outside, the image is distorted because of refraction on the glass surface. The paper presents a method for determining observation paramaters such as the location and orientation of the glass surface, which are required when applying stereo vision to the 3-dimensional measurement in such a case, The method detects by image processing technique the refrence points in the image of a calibration scale set in a water tank, and determines the observation parameters based on ray eracing analysis. Results of a preliminary experiment to verify the effectiveness of the method is shown.
