Abstract(in English) Recently, information technology has progressed remarkably. It is necessary that children learn in school how to put information to practical use. They need to learn the ability to select necessary information from unnecessary information and to send information by themselves. In this study, an inquiry about information education was performed in primary schools and junior high schools in Tochigi Prefecture. Based on the results, we made teaching materials using multi-media contents for home economics and we have been using them in classes and obtaining satisfactory results.
