Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The sense of equilibrium is produced by an integration of various senses. Therefore, the relationship between auditory sense and equilibrium sense can not neglect. We hypothesized that sound stimulation might be important for the sense of equilibrium. Then, we studied the influence of sound stimulation on the vection induced from optokinetic stimulation and the effect of moving sound stimulation on the sense of equilibrium. From the experimental results, it was found that the vection was inhibited by sound stimulation and the body sway for the subjects was affected in proportion as the speed of moving sound image stimulation.
