Concept of tele-agent

Abstract(in English) Tele-existence is a concept for the technology that enables a person to have a real time sensation of being other than where the user actually is. This is a proposal personal networked tele-existence system named tele-agent. We are now testing the various tele-agent systems connected with 64kbits / sec N-ISDN visual telephone. In thie system, a user can watch remote site through ISDN visual telephone. A small CCD camera, a small microphone and a wireless video transmitter unit are put on various small vehicles. The user can see the view of the vehicle's camera with the visual telephone. We propose that such kinds of tele-agent system technique and concepts are key points of field use multimedia telecommunication service in 21st century.
