Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Repid growth of an advanced information society makes too much information for one person. Agent technologies enable users to get useful information and functions for them through communications with interface agents. In this paper, we give results of experiments to get the idea of the suitability of synthesized speech for the features of interface agents. The following results are obtained:(1)Characteristics of sound which users image for an agent character are limited to some range. (2)There can be rules for many users on the characteristics of sound which users image against the feature of an interface agent.
